DECORATIVE DOORSTOPS
The topic of doorstops in autumnwould a few years ago have been sensational, but now that many women have central-heating in their houses and the majority realise the value of
ventilation in a room, these household items have become all-the-year-round requirements. Doorstops—or, as they are called in trade, door-porters, made in brass —are the “best sellers." Women like this type because it looks well in all rooms and does not clash with any furnishing scheme. There are dozens
of designs that are reproductions of antiques. Some are bright, being lacquered so that they do not need polishing, and others have a dull or antique finish.
