ACCIDENTS OF SPORT (9) £250 If the subscriber shall be killed or dies as the result of injuries received while such subscriber is engaged or competing as an amateur in any game or sport conducted under the jurisdiction of and in accordance with the rules of a duly constituted club or governing body. LIFE-SAVING ACCIDENTS (10) £250 if the subscriber shall be killed or dies as the result of injuries received in endeavouring to save human life. TOTAL OR PARTIAL DISABLEMENT (11) '£2so in case of an accident as defined in the clauses (1) to (10) above, should such accident not result in death but cause PERMANENT PARTIAL DISABLEMENT through the loss of two limbs or two eyes, or one limb and one eye.

(12) £IOO in case of an accident as defined in the clauses (1) to (10) above, should such accident not result in death but cause PERMANENT TOTAL DISABLEMENT through the loss of one limb or one eye. (13) £5 per week for a period not exceeding two weeks together with medical expenses not exceeding £5 in case of an accident as defined in clauses (1) to (10) above, should such accident not result in death but cause TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABLEMENT. PROVIDED ALWAYS that the above Undertaking and Agreement is subject to the following special conditions which are of the essence of the contract, namely (a) The scope of the Insurance is restricted to accidents happening in New Zealand and to steamers sailing within New Zealand territorial waters. (b) In the case of death, such death must result within 30 daj’s after the accident. (c) That notice of the death the accident be given within forty (40) days after the accident by the subscriber or representative to THE SUN Newspapers, Ltd., Auckland. (d) IN THE CASE OF PERMANENT TOTAL OR PARTIAL DISABLEMENT that notice of the accident be given by the subscriber as aforesaid within fourteen (14) days of the accident. (e) IN THE CASE OF TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABLEMENT that notice of the accident be given by the subscriber as aforesaid within seven (7) days of the accident. (f) That Medical Certificates and other necessary information b 6 furnished by the claimant upon request. (g) That the total liability in respect of claims arising out of any one railway accident or disaster which results in the death within thirty (30) days of more than one person shall not exceed the sum of £1,000: in any such

event the said sum of one thousand pounds (£1,000) will be paid pro rata, (h) That the total liability in respect of claims arising out of any one accident or disaster other than railway accidents which results in the death within thirty days of more than two persons shall not exceed the sum of one thousand pounds (£1,000). In the event of such happening the said sira of one thousand pounds shall be paid pro rata. (i) That no compensation shall b f payable for any accident happening while the subscriber is carrying another person or riding upon a luggage or pillion-carrier of a cycle or motorbicycle. (j) That no compensation shall be payable for any accident sustained while the subscriber is in a state of intoxication or resulting from suicide or attempt thereat, an overdose of drugs, insanity, war. riot, or civil commotion. (k) That in the event of any dispute between the subscriber and THE SUN as to whether such disablement render the holder temporarily or totally unable to follow his or her usual vocation, it is agreed that such dispute shall be referred to the decision of a medical referee to be nominated by THE SUN, whose decision shall be binding upon the parties.
