OBITUARY

MRS. ROBERT RILEY The death took place yesterday afternoon, In a private hospital, of Catherine Morrison Riley, aged 45, third daughter of Mr. W. G. Morrison, of Dunedin, and wife of Mr. Robert Riley, associate editor of THE SUN. Born in Scotland, the late Mrs. Riley came to New Zealand, at an early age, with her parents. She spent many years in Otago and was for some time a vice-president of the St. Clair Ladies’ Club. Occasionally she appeared on the concert platform. Mrs. Riley lived in the four centres of New Zealand and in Melbourne and Sydney. Of recent years she had been in poor health and her death followed an illness which lasted over four years.

The deceased lady leaves one daughter, Miss Fiona Riley. The funeral took place at Waikumete Cemetery this afternoon.
