JAZZ AND PICTURES IN ELYSEE PALACE
M. DOUMERGUE’S PARTY By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. PARIS, Sunday. As he was compelled by tradition to spend a second Christmas within the Elysee Palace all day, the President, M. Doumergue, broke a precedent by allowing jazz music and motion pictures inside the presidential palace for the annual party of selected school children. The President was anxious to see a feature film, and at his request a private showing was given inside the Elysee Palace which is the first time films have been shpwn there. The President then selected a Western film for the children’s party. All the members of the jazz band were dressed to resemble Santa Claus.—A. and N.Z.
