Round the Churches
Special Christmas anthems will be a feature Of the services at St. Matthew’s Church, Wellesley Street, tomorrow. Holy Communion will be celebrated at 7 a.m., and again at 8 and 11 a.m. The preacher will be Canon Grant Cowen. The Rev. J. Haslop, or Canada, will preach at the Edendale Presbyterian Church to-morrow. The Minister at the Somervell Church, Remuera, will be the Rev. J. Pattison. Special Christmas messages will be delivered. * * * The Associated Churches of Christ meet to-morrow at Ponsonby Road, Dominion Road, Richmond, Avondale, Onehunga. Devonport, and Mount Albert. * * "A Stirring Christmas Message” will be delivered by Mr. Walter Parker, of the Methodist Theological College, at the evening service of the Methodist Central Mission, Airedale Stret, tomorrow. t Nurse Clayton is to speak on “The Christmas Gift” at a meeting Ci the Spiritualists’ Church to-morrow evening. There will be messages later.
The First Church of Christian Scientists is holding a special service tomorrow in the church hall, Symonds Street, when an address on Chustian Science” will he delivered. There will bo no circle meeting of the Spiritual Scientists’ Church m Newton Chambers to-morrow afternoon. In the evening a talk on “There Was No Room in the Inn” is being delivered by Mrs. Harris-Roberts. A special Christmas service is to be held bv the Young Mens Christian Association to-morrow afternoon at 4.is. The Rev. A. S. Wilson will preach at both services at the Grange Road Baptist Church to-morrow, when solos will be sung. At the Royal Oak Baptist Church tomorrow addresses will be delivered by Mr. B. M. Wilson.
