CASHED STOLEN CHEQUE
POSTAL OFFICIAL ADMITS GUILT Press Association. FEILDING, Friday. Pleading: guilty to charges of stealing a cheque for £ll 14s 8d from the post office at Halcombe and forging and acting on the cheque, Kikapaumu Parata, formerly of Halcombe, and now of Watana, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Parata was a postal officer at Halcombe, where he stole a letter, endorsed a cheque in the letter and cashed it.
