NEW RAILWAY SHOPS PARTIALLY BURNED
FIRE AT LOWER HUTT HALF THE ROOF DESTROYED Press Association. WELLINGTON, Friday. About 4.15 p.m. to-day a fire occurred in one of the completed sheds of the new railway workshops at Lower Hutt. The Lower Hutt Fire Brigade was communicated with, and on arrival found the roof blazing fiercely. About half the roof was totally destroyed, only the steel girders remaining. The cause of the fire is unknown.
