Popular Young Aucklanders
The creation named “Malmaison” was the pick of the evening dress section. It was of just that exotic shade of mauvish-pink that the horticulturists have specialied in this year for prize carnations. Fashioned of taffetas, the “Malmalson” gown was “bunched” extravagantly at the back. In front the skirt was plain, but a covering of beautiful si' er lace lent it just the right note of picturesqueness. Of anklelength, it was shown off to perfection by a young mannequin who knew how to “put over” the irresistible charm of youthful demureness.
