BUSH FIRES SPREAD
WEST AUSTRALIAN LOSS FIRE FOR FORTY MILES By Cable.— Press Association. — Copyright. PERTH. To-day. Bush fires have spread with alarming rapidity in the Carnarvon district. Only heavy thunderstorms can avert a serious loss to all stations between the Worbramal and Gascoyne Rivers. An airplane pilot says the country is burning for 40 miles. Most of the stations affected have mustered their stock, and the losses will be light.—A. and N.Z.
