ATTEMPT ON JEWELLER’S SHOP Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Burglars visited the Richmond Workingmen’s Club and secured £4 in cash, two dozen bottles of spirits and a quantity of cigarettes. Last night an attempt was made to enter the shop of H. H. Hancock, jeweller, in Chancery Lane. The padlock on an iron gate was removed, but the intruders could not break the lock on the door,
