VICTIMS OF THE MOTORGLOOMY PREDICTION MADE
£j/ Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright. NEW YORK* Wednesday. THE Travellers’ Insurance ComA pany predicts that there will be 23,000 deaths and 800,000 injuries next year from motor-car accidents. The estimate, which is based on a record of the last two years, does not allow for the customary yearly increase. The records for 1925 and 1926 show that some one was either killed or injured every 14 seconds, and one death occurred for every 1,000 cars. At this rate 400,000 people will be killed in motor-car accidents in the next 20 years.—A. and N.Z. ■r Hr -r t!t -I? y -it rr ~l i rr -r
