WILCOX—DON

St. Luke’s Church in Remuera was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday afternoon, when the Rev. L. Thompson married Alexandra, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Don, of Bassett Road, Remuera, to Horace, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Wilcox, of Market Road, Epsom.

The bride was given away by her father and the bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. Don as best man and Mr. C. Wilcox as groomsman.

Ivory georgette and silk lace were happily combined to fashion a dainty frock for the bride, and with it was worn a prettily embroidered veil of tulle that was arranged under a chaplet of orange blossoms. Christmas lilies and sweet peas composed her beautiful bouquet. The Misses Isobel Brooke and Betty Hynes attended the bride, wearing frocks of gold lace and japonica. pink taffetas. The chief bridesmaid’s frock was made entirely of gold lace and with it she wore a crinoline hat of orchidmauve shade.

Miss Betty Hynes’s frock was of taffetas in a pretty rose tone panelled with gold lace, and she wore a beige crinoline straw hat with rose-coloured trimming. Each maid carried an attractive bouquet of flowers.
