JOHN. —The steamer Ikala has been chartered to load general merchandise at St. John, New Brunswick, for New Zealand and Australia. NALDERA AT FR EMANTLE.- The P. and O. liner Naldera reached Fremantle from London on Tuesday. After calling at Adelaide and Melbourne she is due at Sydney on December 29. HINEMOA FOR NORFOLK ISLAND. ! —At 3 p.m. on Wednesday next. December 2S, Spedding, Limited, hope to | dispatch the Government steamer Hinej inoa from Auckland for Norfolk Island. CANADIAN SCOTTISH AT NEW YORK. —Cabled news received by the Canadian Government Agency reports that the Canadian Scottish, which left Auckland on November 8, arrived at New York on December 16. KINTYRE LEAVES CASA BLANCA. —Cable advice has been received by Henderson and Macfarlane that the tramp steamer Kintyre sailed from Casa Blanca, Morocco, on December 19 with 6,400 tons of phosphates for discharge at New Plymouth and Wanganui. The vessel is expected to arrive at New Plymouth on February 12. SURAT SAILS ON SATURDAY. Messrs. Robert Millar and Company advises that the tramp steamer Surat, which is discharging a cargo of raw sugar at Chelsea, is expected to complete to-night and 10 a.m., to-morrow will sail for Westport for bunkers before proceeding to Western Australia to load a cargo of wheat for Calcutta. lONIC LEAVES WELLINGTON. —To fill up for Home the White Star liner lonic left Wellington at 5 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due about noon to-morrow. On arrival the vessel will berth at the Queen’s Wharf, and the local agents, A. S. Paterson and Company, advise that the liner will leave Auckland finally at 6 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, for Southampton and London, via Panama.

THE RIMUTAKA’S PASSENGERS.— The Rimutaka arrived at Wellington at 5.20 p.m. on Monday from London and Southampton. After landing passengers and mail the vessel sailed at 4.20 p.m. on Tuesday for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Napier to unload general merchandise from London. After completion of discharge the vessel will load in New Zealand and she is to be dispatched from Auckland for Southampton and London on February 2. TOFUA FROM ISLANDS. —The local office of the Union Company advises that the Island passenger steamer Tofua. which leaves Suva at 4 o’clock this afternoon for Auckland, should arris r* here on Tuesday evening next or early W ednesday morning.
INDIANOLA WITH PHOSPHATES Henderson and Macfarlane have received eable advice that the tramp steamer Indianola left Casa Blanca. Morocco, on December 20 with 7,026 tons of phosphates for discharge at Auckland and Lyttelton. The vessel is expected to reach this port on February 13. THE CANADIAN SEIGNEUR. —The Canadian Seigneur is scheduled to leave Wellington this evening for Lyttelton to continue discharging her general cargo from Montreal. She will go later to Timaru and Dunedin, and then returns to Auckland to complete loading for New York, Boston and Halifax. She sails from Auckland about January 10.
SURREY DUE TO-MORROW.—Due at Auckland to-morrow morning from Tokomaru Bay. the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Surrey will berth at the Prince's Wharf to load the local portion of her cargo. The vessel is expected to leave here again on January 7 for Napier, thence Waikokopu and Wellington, to complete loading and is to clear the latter port finally on January’ 21 for London and Westport England ports, via Panama.
