TEACHING THE BLIND
“GOOD WORK BY STAFF’
' Work of a most effective nature is being done by a staff which is most enthusiastic in its efforts to overcome the handicaps under which these children labour/* states Mr. Maurice Priestly, inspector of schools, in his report of the work done during the year in the school of the Jubilee Institute for the Blind. "An exceedingly keen working spirit prevails among the pupils, who continue to progres in a most gratifying manner, both on the manual and intellectual sides. Music looms largely and attractively on the curriculum. A delightful tone prevails, reflecting the wholesome influence of the staff, and the director, Mr. Clutha Mackenzie, takes a keen personal interest in the welfare of every child in the institution. Capital equipment and accommodation are provided.’*
