CHRISTMAS ORANGES
By Cable. — Press Association. —Copyright LONDON, Wednesday. A feature of the Christmas markets lias been the enormous supplies of Spanish oranges, of which 209,000,000 were sold by auction at the Monument salerooms. At the Christmas season the prices usually are very low, and oranges ought to be retailed at three, or even four for a penny. None, however, are visible in the shops at those prices.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
