Beale's Cricket XI on Southern Tour
NORTH ISLAND MATCHES PERSONNEL OF PARTY For a number of years past, Mr. E. C. Beale, Auckland’s veteran cricket selector and member of the Managernent Committee of
the A.C.A., has organised a tour of the minor associations of New Zealand. Each year a different itinerary is drawn up, so that all the minor associations are visited in turn. These visits are greatly appreciated by associations which. have few opportunities of
seeing teams from the centres in action. Further than that, it provides a great opportunity for promising Auckland colts to gain experience, as Mr. Beale’s teams always include a big proportion of young players. The team selected for this year’s tour is as follows: R. G. Bush, Mount Albert G.S.; V. C. Butler, Eden; I. W. Cooper, Eden; J. N. Fraser, Mount Eden G.S.; E. C. Gee, University; D. Hetherington, Mount Albert G.S.; W. H. Johnston, Parnell; J. Langridge, Sussex County and Ponsonby; L.
