Sir Guy Gaunt’s wife was granted a divorce on the grounds of his adultery with Lady Margery Barbara, during a cruise.—A. and N.Z. Vice-Admiral Sir Guy Gaunt, R.N., K.C.M.G., C. 8., is 58 years of age. His father was a judge in Victoria, and Sir Guy Gaunt was educated at the Melbourne Grammar School. He commanded the British Consulate at Apia in 1899, during the rebel attack on the town, and raised and commanded “Gaunt’s Brigade” during the operations that followed. He performed important service till his retirement in 1924. He married Margaret, daughter of the late Sir Thomas Wardle, of Leek and Swainsley. He is a noted yachtsman.
