Hamilton Rowing Dispute Settled
N.Z. COUNCIL TAKES A HAND CREWS FOR TAURANGA (Special to THE SUN.) HAMILTON, Thursday. The dispute between the Hamilton Rowing Club and the New Zealand Rowing Council has, apparently, been finally settled, and the Anniversary Day Regatta will proceed, notification having been received that the New Zealand Council has over-ruled the decision of the Auckland Rowing Association in respect of a second donation for the two events in dispute. The following crews have been chosen by the Hamilton Rowing Club for the Tauranga Regatta on January Light Maiden.—Taylor (stroke), Alexander, Pickup. Wink. Heavy maidens: McKenzie, Styles, Johnson, Blackman. Heavy maidens, No. 2: H. Salisbury, Radford, Partridge, Brockets Open juniors; Pope, Edmonds, Lane, Mclnally. Youths’ fours: Pope, Waters, Salisbury, Taylor. Maiden pairs: Salisbury, Brockets Junior pair: Pope, Edmonds. Single sculls: C. D. Molesworth.
With the exception of the heavy maidens, these crews row at Whangarei Regatta on January 2.
