BRITAIN WILL DEFEND SCHNEIDER TROPHY
NO EFFORT SPARED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Monday. The Secretary of State for Air, Sir Samuel Hoare, said iu the House of Commons that in the discussions which were proceeding with a view to holding the race for the Schneider Cup at intervals of two years, instead of one year, he undertook that Britain would compete. She intended to spare no efforts to retain the cup. Work was proceeding in the development of machines and engines with this object.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
