BEIGE GEORGETTE CHOSEN BY BRIDE

TIPPER—LLOYD

For her wedding at St. Thomas’s Church yesterday morning to Mr. Charles Tipper, of Wellington, formerly of London and South Africa, Frances Eunice Coralie, the daughter of the late Captain F. T. Lloyd, of Auckland, chose a simply-fashioned but essentially smart gown of beige georgette, made over a foundation of lotus-rose crepe, and effectively inset with panels of Chantilly lace. With it she wore a wide-brimmed hat of rose du Barri crinoline straw trimmed with flowers and velvet ribbon, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of carnations and gladioli to tone with her frock. Aliss Eunice McHonald, a niece of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, wearing an attractive frock of geranium-rose crepe de chine panelled with Paris lace and a black crinoline hat trimmed with rose-coloured flowers. Her bouquet was composed of roses and carnations to match her frock. The marriage service was conducted by the Rev. Air. Drummond, and the bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Air. H. AlcDonald. The bridegroom was attended by Air. Barney Wheatley as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Mount Eden Tea Kiosk, where a few intimate friends and relatives were received by Airs. Honald AlcDonald, sister of the bride, who wore a smart gown of navy blue satin earreau and a Pompeian-rose hat. The reeption room was, beautifully decorated with tall vases of delphiniums and carnations, mingled with filmy fronds of fern and other greenery. Among those present were: Airs. Sampson, sister of the bride, in an ensemble of navy blue crepe marocain and a French grey hat. Airs. A. Don, sister of the bride, frock of black georgette embroidered in gold and rose and rose-toned hat. Afrs. Shaw, navy blue georgette frock and dove grey hat. Airs. F. H.
