Christmas and New , Year Holidays, 1927228 POSTAL BRANCH Saturday, December 24 and over-counter delivery of tv. on letters (registered as well as ordinary) will be made from the Postmen s Branch, first lloor, between 7 and S p.m- On both days a special clearance of all street "receivers” will be made at G pm.; the midnight clearances •will not be made. On December 14 a morning and an afternoon delivery will be made by postmen. Sunday, December 25 (Christmas Day). at 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m., respectively. The midnight clearance of street "receivers” will not be made. Monday, December 26 (for Christmas Day) and January 2 (for New Tear s Day), and Tuesday, December 27 (for Boxing Day).—Will be observed as close holidays. A midnight clearance of street "receivers” will be made. On the 26th instant, mails for Southern Offices will close at a p.m. and 5.30 p.m. respectively. There will be no delivery by postmen. Tuesday, December 27 (for Boxing Day) and Monday, January 2 (for New Tear's Dfcry).—All mails will close at 4 a.m., with the exception that those for Southern Offices will close at 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. respectively. Only parcels on which the "Express Transit” fee has been paid will be dispatched. There will be no delivery by postmen. Sunday, January 1-—Mails for Southern Offices will close at 5 p.m. and 0.30 pm. respectively. A midnight clearance of all street ‘-receivers’* will be made as usual. Late fee letters for Southern Offices may be posted in the box at the entrance to the Railway Station platform, up to 10 minutes before the advertised times of departure of the expresses.
