PAPATOETOE WATER

AGREEMENT SIGNED The agrement between the Papatoetoe Town Board, and Mr. Wills McLaughlin, has been signed, giving the board the right to sink a shaft at McLaughlin’s Hill, on the Puhinui Estate, for the purpose of ascertaining if sufficient and suitable water exists on the site for a water supply for the town board area. It is anticipated that the work will be put in hand immediately after the holidays. This is the outcome of numerous conferences and sheaves of correspondence during the past 18 months, and the members of the board are to be congratulated on at seeing something tangible accomplished.
