AUCKLAND SALE The keen demand registered of late for most classes of skins and hides was well maintained at the fortnightly hide and skin sale held in Auckland yesterday. Prices, generally, improved on late rates. Tallow values held at late quotations. Prices ranged as follows: — Cowhides. —Best gradfc, light, ll§d to 12 1-Sd; medium, 12 l-8d to 12 3-Sd; heavy, 12d to 12<d; second grade, lid to 11 5-8 d; cut, lOd to llid; scored and meaty, SAd to 9d; ox, best grade, light, 113 d to 12d; medium, 11 5-8 d to 12Jd; heavy, lid to 11 5-8 d; cut, lid to 113 d; kip and runners, best grade, llid to 13d; second grade, 9d to ltid; yearlings, best grade, 12d to 123 d; second, lOd to lid; slippy, 7d to 7id; calfskins, best grade, light, 14£d to 16d; cut, lid to 13d; slippy, 9d to lOid; heavy, lOd to ll.^d.
