FERTILISERS IMPROVE Owing chiefly to the near approach of the holidays, the market is quiet, i nd only a moderate amount of business is being transacted. Bank and insurance shares remain steady at recent prices. In coals Hikurangi, Puekmiro and Renown are inclined to harden. In the miscellaneous section, KempLhorne, Prosser and Farmers' Fertilisers have improved and are in better tone. Government and local body debentures are still in demand.
