EVERYBODY’S
“LET IT RAIN” In the Paramount picture. “Let It Rain,” now being shown at Everybody’s, Douglas McLean as Riley-, leader of the marines on a battleship, is sentenced by his commander to shako hands with Kelly, a sailor, every time they- meet. While this sounds like a mild punishment for some of the battles they’ve fought, it really- has its disadvantages. For instance, both men fall in love with the same girl. One day they go ashore, but Riley gets there first and takes her to an amusement park. He tells the lady of his love and they are about to go into a fond embrace when the nemesis comes along and insists on shaking hands for 15 long minutes. In “The Last Outlaw,” which is also being shown at Everybody’s, Gary Cooper plays the role of a young Western adventurer who accepts the dangerous post of sheriff in a warring community. Besides Miss Jewel and Flash, who is co-featured with Jack Luden, graduate of the Paramount Picture School, Cooper is supported by a cast which includes Billy Butts, the famous child actor, and Herbert Prior and Jim Corey, well-known character actors.
