PRINCESS
“SMILE, BROTHER, SMILE” “Her Man o’ War,” Jetta Goudal’s first Starring vehicle, which is being shown at the Princess Theatre, puts
the exotic beauty through the entire gamut of dramatic expressions from comedy to pathos. As a result of this variety of dramatic phases in the story, Miss Goudal will be seen not only in the emotional drama, in which she has SI appeared to such - advantage in the past, but also in
comedy, romantic and melodramatic scenes, showing a side of her histrionic equipment unfamiliar to the motion picture public. Everything «lse in the world having been glorified by film epics, the travelling salesman is now getting his due. His life and deeds have been immortalised on the screen in “Smile, Brother, Smile,” a First National picture produced by Charles R- Rogers, which is the chief attraction at the Princess. Jack Mulhall plays the role of the gay and ambitious young salesman, and Dorothy Mackaill shares honours in the featured feminine role. The supporting cast includes T. Roy Barnes, Philo McCullough, Yola d’Avril, Brooks Benedict, E. J. Ratcliffe, Ernest Hilliard and others. “Smile, Brothers, Smile.” is an original screen story by Al Boasberg and was adapted by Rex Taylor.
