The competitors are: Mr. Hamilton and Miss Clegg, Mr. Wheeler and Miss Stewart, Mr. Burrell and Miss Fraser, Mr. Owens and Miss Cunningham, Mr. Spellany and Miss Wade, Mr. Benbow and Miss Kelly, Mr. Anderson and Miss Sevi. Dancing will be from 8.30 p.m. till 11.30 p.m., and the admission charge is only 2s 6d.

Buses for the dance will leave the G.P.0., Queen Street, at 7.25 p.m. and 7.45 p.m.

Joan Crawford had a narrow escape when a motor-car in which she and William Haines were riding was struck by an ice-truck. Several stitches were put in Miss Crawford’s scalp. She is now quite recovered and has resumed her role in “West Point,” the new picture of military cadet life with William Haines in the starring role.
