BRISBANE, Saturday, i. i When the steamer Rosenc arrived e ; at Townsville from Mexico it was reported that one of the crew* had died from the disease which was reported vto be typhus fever, but inquiries showed that probably this was net so. two rats from the vessel were sent to the Institute of Tropical Medicine*, where they were found t-» contain bacilli resembling those of plague.
