CHURCH PARADE i Court Victoria’s Pride. Devonport, held a Christmas gathering on Friday, ■ The president. Mr. F. Newby, welcomed the guests, who spent a happy even, ing. Mr. T. Cliffe. recording secretary to the court, was the recipient of a presentation in honour of his marriage. Last evening a church parade in regalia was held at the Congregational Church to hear Chaplain Mark Finch preach his farewell sermon. The regalia of the officers was draped in respect to the memory of Bros. J. Gasson and E. J. Bentley. who had passed away during the week. The Rev. Finch took as his text “Our Father,” and the lodge members joined hands around the church while singing • God Be With You Till We Meet Again.” The Auckland District Court was officially represented by Bro. H. T. Hoverd, D.C.R. Other courts sen ted were: Victoria, Hinemoa. Maid Marion, Takapuna, and Victoria's Juveniles.
