UNEMPLOYED INCREASE
THIS WEEK’S FIGURES An increase in the unemployed is shown by figures supplied by the Labour Department this morning. The total of men out of work this week is 568 compared with 536 last week. Of this number 511 are classed as fit for heavy work and 57 as suitable for light work only. The previous week’s figures were 474 and 62 respectively. Men placed in employmet during the week number 39, compared -with 175 for the week ending December 10,
