RETIRING HEADMASTER

TRIBUTE TO MR. F. J. OHLSON Mount Eden residents expressed their appreciation of the work of Mr. F. J. Ohlson, retiring headmaster of the Maungawhau School, at a large assembly on Thursday evening. The function was held at the Centenary Hall, and those present included Messrs. E. H. Potter, Mayor, A. Burns, chairman of the Education Board, C. W. Garrard, chief inspector, and V. H. Potter, M.P. Parents, pupils and ex-pupils presented Mr. Ohlson with a silver coffee service, and the staff presented him with an entree dish and fountain pen.
