PRINCE EDWARD

“TILLIE THE TOILER”

Marion Davies, who plays the part of the frivolous “Tillie” in Motro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s new picture, “Tillie the Toiler,” now showing at the Prince Edward Theatre, was born in New York and educated at the Convent of the Sacred Heart at Hastings. She went on the stage, and when she left it to become a motion picture star, was a member of Ziegfeld’s Pollies. Miss Davies's first picture was “Runaway Romany,” the story of which she wrote herself.' She made a tremendous hit with the picture-going public with the release of such of her starring vehicles as “When Knighthood was in Flower”

and “Little Old New York.” Among her other productions have been “The Beautiful Rebel,” “Yolanda,” "Lights of Old Broadway,” “Zander the Great,” and more recently, “Beverley of Graustark” and “The Red Mill.” “Hills of Kentucky,” featuring Rin-Tin-Tin, will also be shown to-night.

The Royal Australians Sunbeams will appear at the Prince Edward Theatre next week. Full details of this entertaining act will be announced later.
