ROMA OIL SOLD —The first lot of Roma oil sold for commercial use amounted to 180 gallons. It was purchased by the Queensland Government analyst for use as fuel for a tractor on the farm of his sons.—A. and N.Z. Building at Thames.—The value of building permits and alterations in Thames Borough for the past twelve months amounted to £16,554. The area of the Pacific Ocean is 70,000,000 square miles. It exceeds the total expanse of all the continents and islands on the globe.
