Yesterday a woman’s black coat and umbrella were found on a seat on the ferry steamer Makora. It is feared that the owner may nave

committed suicide by jumping off the vessel. AN unknown woman had been seen riding to and fro between Devonport and Auckland yesterday morning. She was last noticed on the Makora shortly after the boat left the Devonport Wharf. After the coat and umbrella were found a search was made, but the woman was nownere to be seen. The woman when last seen was wearing a black coat, a light coloured hat and a white dress
