NORTH SHORE TRAFFIC
LICENSING AUTHORITY DEVONPORT TO ACT The Devonport Borough Council has agreed to the proposal made ’ Mr. Alex Harris, M.P., tha; it should act temporarily as a licensing author ity under the proposal to reconstitute the No. 2 licensing body under the Motor Bus Regulations. Originally the No. 2 Authority comprised the Takapuna Borough Council. The pto for the new licensing district bare been sent to Wellington, and in «dc tion to the four marine boroughs. d> f Takapuna and Pukeatua ridings of the Waitemata County Council are to k included after consultation with ti* county council. Pending legislation the Licensing Board will be set up by Order-in Council and Devonport, as the sexor borough, and the one in which tin most motor traffic occurs, will, in the interim, be the centre of administration.
