Moderator Favours Fashions of To-Day
COMMENTING- on the bathing costumes and the everyday frocks worn by the girls of to-day, at the opening of the new baths at St. Cuthbert’s College yesterday afternoon, the Rt. Rev. J. Aitken, Moderator of the Presbyterian General Asseynbly, paid a tribute to the sensible styles as compared with the earlier days. “They could not possibly swim in the bathing dresses they used to wear,” he said, “but in their j)resent costumes they swim like the ducks they are.”
