FALSE FIRE ALARM

THREE YOUTHS FINED

For the next 12 weeks Roy Capel, Leonard Coggan and William Gibson, described at the Police Court to-day as hoodlums, will each be paying 10s into the State coffers.

They pleaded guilty to a charge ot giving a false alarm to the City Flra Brigade.

Sergeant Flanagan said that the alarm was given in the Ponsonby district on a Sunday afternoon. During the year 76 malicious false alarms had been given in that district.

Accused were fined £5 each and ordered to pay £l. Gibson was fined an additional £2 for using obscene lan t'■ age. The magistrate said that the fines could be paid at 10s a week.
