WOMEN WAIT IN RAIN TO HEAR THE PRINCE
Pf Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright, fteci. 9.5 a.in. LONDON, Thurs. Women stood In the rain for hours, hoping to hear the Prince of Wales address the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, at a meeting in Whitechapel. The Prince said he took a special interest in his kinsmen oversea. He found, during his oversea tours, a benefit in meeting men of the backblocks and prairies, constantly struggling with Nature, and undismayed by loneliness. They needed links with the Homeland. The Church, above all things, brought the Homeland near.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
