KAURI FOREST EXCURSIONS

MANY INQUIRIES MADE

Since THE SUN announced that the Railway Department contemplated running week-end excursions to the kauri forests near Dargaville, the department has received many inquiries.

The Auckland Tramping Club, which has a roll of over 100 members, is anxious to go, and many Aucklanders have expressed their willingness to spend a week-end at the forest. The subject has been discussed by the Dargaville Chamber of Commerce, which wishes to see the excursions eventuate.
