OFFICIAL RESUME Under date December 10 the High Commissioner for New Zealand cabled from London the following resume of London markets:— Honey. —The market is dull, with a slow sale for all descriptions. Present quotations are: New Zealand, white 75s to 86s, light amber 6Ss to 85s, medium 60s to 70s, dark 56s to 60s. Tallow. —The market is very quiet, and there was no auction this week. Prices are the same as last quotations. Wool. —The series continues. Competition is brisk, and values are well maintained. Hemp. —The Manila market is firmer. J grade, January to March shipments, are quoted at £42 13s. The sisal market is firmer. The demand is chiefly for distant shipments. No. 1 afloat is offered at £36 15s, but for January-March and April-June shipments £37 is bid. No. 2. £35 10s for shipment. Tow; Small business has been done at £3O 5s for first-grade for shipment. New Zealand: The market is more active. Fair business has been done in high-points at £34 10s to £34 15s; fair, £33 5s to £33 10s; common, £32 10s to £32 15s for December-February shipments. Consumers are taking interest in fair grade. Closing values for tow are: Second grade, £22 10s to £23.
