lorry Wrecks motor-car NO ONE SERIOUSLY HURT Driving out of a side street on to ; the main road between Glen Eden and j Henderson about 10 a.m. yesterday, a ; motor-lorry crashed into a motor-car J driven by Mr. W. Bickley and injured j the five occupants of the car. Mr. Bickley, accompanied by his wife, two children and a Miss Dye, I i was proceeding towards Henderson j I along the New North Road. When j •, the lorry came suddently out of the ! ! side street. Mr. Bickley swerved but j was not able to avert a collision. All ! the occupants of the car were thrown > i out and bruised and cut about the i I face and head. A remarkable feature ’ i of the acident was that fact that Mrs. Bickley’s baby was found in the lorry, j r i having evidently been thrown there i after the impact. The car was smashed ) beyond repair* and the lorry was also i seriously damaged.
