Unemployed Relief Works.—All unemployed relief works in Wellington will be wound up by Christmas time.— Press Association. Boy Killed by Motor.—While on his way home from school a boy named Frederick Holeman, aged 11 years, was knocked down by a motor-car and killed at Glenbrook yesterday afternoon. Papatoetoe Building.—Building permits issued by the Papaetoetoe Town Board for the month of November were: Six dwellings valued at £3,935; and alterations to existing premises, £595, making a total for the month of £4,550. Idle and Disorderly.—Annie Hartley, aged 51, who was but recently discharged from gaol appeared at the Police Court to-day and was sentenced p t othree months’ imprisonment tor being idle and disorderly. False Pretences Charge.—Myra McKernan, aged 45. was charged at the Police Court to-day with obtaining £7 Iby false pretences. She was remanded ito appear at Whangarei on December ! 19.
