SYDNEY OFFICER SUES FOR £20,000 ARTICLE IN NEWSPAPER By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 10.30 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. An action has commenced in which Silas Young Maling, deputy-general manager of the electricity department of the City Council, claims £20,000 damages for alleged libel against S. Bennett, Limited, and George Hubert Goddard, proprietors and publisher respectively of the “Sunday News” newspaper. > The action arose out of a series of articles dealing with the Town Hall administration published in the “Sunday News.”—A. and N.Z.
