Finis Fox, who wrote the scenario of "Ramona,” is now hunting a new story for Dolores del Rio. ITe did the scenario for “Resurrection,” from Tolstoy’s story. Holmes Herbert, at present playing with Irene Rich in “The Silver Slave,” has been cast for the role of young Spoffard in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.” * * * Cameras installed in specially constructed boats record the action in "Honeymoon Hate,” Florence Vidor’s new picture in which many indicidents develop on the canals of Venice.
Malcolm McGregor is said to have inherited more than 1,000,000 dollars recently through the death of his father. In spite of his newly-acquired fortune he plans to continue in motion pictures. * * * Flobelle Fairbanks, who plays the role of Fluffy, the flapper in “Sorrell and Son,” is a daughter of the late John Fairbanks-, brother of Douglas. Recently she appeared with Gloria Swanson in “The Love of Sunya.” ' * * * " Charles Rogers, lifted from among the unknowns to play opposite Mary Pickford in “My Best Girl,” now wins a juvenile role as the famous blonde lead in Anita Loos’s best-seller. He will also play Abie in “Abie’s Irish Rose.” * * * Laura La Plante will have her individual bungalow dressing room at Universal City before long. It includes the dressing roam proper, one entire wall occupied by the traditional “star mirror,” a bath, a guest room, a lounging room, and a kitchenette.
