TWO ROOMS DAMAGED IN REMUERA FIRE

A fire in a two-storeyed house at 26 Ladies’ Mile, Remuera, shortly after 6.30 last evening, destroyed two rooms on the upper floor, and damaged part of the roof. The City, Remuera, and Parnell brigades were called out, and extinguished the flames without much difficulty. Insurance on the house amounts to £2,000 in the National and the British Traders’ Offices. A policy for £SOO on the contents is held by the Royal Insurance Company,
