Marie Ney Plays Lead in Egypt

A New Zealand actress has been chosen, to play lead in a season of Shakespeare in Cairo. The honour has fallen on Marie Ney, the ex - Wellington girl, who looks as though she will climb to the top-most point of the theatrical tree. It is said that the invitation for a British company to play in Cairo followed the visit of King Fuad to England, recently. Robert Adkins wilt produce and the following plays will be staged: "The Merchant of Venice,” " Othello” “Hamlet” “Twelfth Night.” "Measure for Measure and “The Taming of the Shrew.”
