NEW RAILWAY STATION
TENDERS TO BE CALLED PLANS NEARLY COMPLETED Early in the New Year tenders will be called for the construction of the new railway station at Auckland. The plans of the building are rapidly nearing completion in the hands of the architects, Messrs. Gummer and Ford. Several alterations have been made to the original plans and the station will be a model of modern construction and convenience. As soon as the successful tenderer has been chosen the work will go ahead rapidly. Great progress has been made with the new goods shed facing Quay Street. Most of the framework has been finished and a start has been made with the walls and the interior. The new shed will contain all the most modern appliances for moving large quantities of goods quickly and easily. e
