“COLLEGE” AND “BECKY” At the Grand Theatre to-day, commences “College,” starring the frozenfaced Buster Keaton in his funniest comedy yet produced. Buster Keaton is the sole star. Ann Cornwall is his leading lady. James W. Horne directed this Joseph M. Schenck production from the story by Carl Harbaugh and Bryan Foy. Dev Jennings and Bert Haines photographed the picture. The cast includes Grant Withers, Snitz Edwards, Harold Goodwin, Florence Turner, Buddy Mason, Flora Bramley and Paul Goldsmith. Prominent college and Olympic athletes in “College” are Morton Kaer, Bud Houser, Kenneth Grumbles, Charles Borah, Leighton Dye, Lee Barnes, the entire baseball squad of the University of Southern California, “Shorty” Worden, Robert Bolling and Eric Mack. The story is that of a high school graduate (Keaton), who comes to college, meets The Girl, and at her instigation sets out to conquer the collegiate athletic world, making himself a veritable pentathlon champion. The finale occurs in a crew race, with Keaton a vital factor in the result.

“Becky,” starring Sally O’Neill, will also be screened.
