MR. GILBERT’S ADDRESS
TNQUIRIES at theatrical A offices for the addresses of members of visiting companies are by no means rare, but one received at His Majesty's Theatre recently is rather unusual. It was a request for the name of the hotel where Mr. W. S. Gilbert was staying. When it was pointed out that communication with the famous librettist, unless by spiritualistic means, was out of the question the inquirer stated that she understood he was in the chorus. Although it seems too incredible to be true the story is vouched for on good authority.
