TRAFFIC BREACHES
MOTORISTS FINED NINE DANGEROUS DRIVERS Nine dangerous drivers in »dd»ion to other offending motorists were convicted and fined by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Traffic Court this morning. I 'OR doing 40 miles an hour Walter E. Fullerton was fined £5 and costs. Lind Mitchell and TVilliam Goodfellow each had to pay £4 and costs. The following were each fined £- ana costs: —Robert Norcross, lan McKenaie. Herbert Hebden, Jack Sharp, John Cormack, Frederick Millar. Walter Spicer had to pav costs also for dangerous driving. Harold Whitehead was ordered to pay costs for failing to obey a traffic officer. William Bell, J- Me Clin took and Walter Foster were convicted and fined lus and costs for holding on to moving Robert S Cochran left his car unattended for three and a-half hours—£l and costs. For similarly offending Donald Connell and R. Donaldson forfeited 10s each and costs. . _ . .. W. C. Hodder was prosecuted by the Mount Eden Borough Council and was fined 10s and costs for having no driver’s licence. _ _ _ The Ostend Road Board proceeded against W. A. Arnold for carrying passengers on an unlicensed vehicle. The court convicted him and ordered payment of costs. H. Follas caused noise in Devonport with his motor-cycle. Ten shillings and costs was the penalty. The One Tree Hill Road Board obtained a conviction against Wills and Abbott with a fine of £1 and costs for using a motor-lorry with, the wrong numberplate. John R. Barber was fined IQs and costs at the instigation of the Newmarket Borough Council on each of charges of leaving a car not close enough to a footpath, having no driver’s licence, and leaving the machine unattended, too iong. POLICE PROSECUTIONS The following motorists were penalised by Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M.: — W. H. Flower day was fined £1 for negligence, IDs for having no rear light, and a further 10s far having no driver’s licence. For cutting corners, J. Anderson wasfined 20s and W. D. Hulme £2. For attempting to cross a railway line when, an engine was approaching. A. Carter was fined 20s. For motor-cycling on the footpath. E. Cheadle and D. H. Halliday were each fined 20s. For driving at night without lights A. R. Darnton, S. T. Dibble, E. H. B. Milson and j. Urquhart were each, fined 10s. For leaving cars unattended in Queen Street W. 3lusther, Reta McGrner, C. Travis and P. B. White were each fined 10s.
